A message from our Editor:
    Welcome Members and
    Friends of the Ryukyu
    Philatelic Specialist
    Society, Ltd.
    The Ryukyu Philatelic Specialist
    Society, Ltd. (RPSS) has as its
    objectives promoting an interest in
    the philately of the Ryukyu Islands
    and encouraging friendly
    cooperation among philatelists of
    all nations. The Society was
    established in 1969. Over the years
    RPSS has published a journal titled
    From the Dragon's Den and a
    number of handbooks and
    specialized Ryukyu Islands
    philatelic catalogues. These
    publications provide a wealth of
    information for the philatelist
    interested in the Ryukyu Islands.

     The Work Desk has been created where any
    tentative listings and/or “work in progress”
    materials developed by Society members can
    be shown/published, with the hope of receiving
    additions, corrections, and comments from
    others before formal publications:  all this being
    part of the new attempts within the society to
    involve members more directly in preparing and
    circulating information about our fields of
    interests.

    I have been working on a future  Specialized
    Catalogue of the  “Official Publicity
    Materials and Announcements.”  There are
    a few catalogue listings that are not complete
    and need the membership’s assistance in
    trying to verify if any of the following exist.  The
    listings needing  membership’s help:  
    Announcement Letters “B-yen Era.”  Publicity
    Posters, Horizontal Slips, and Presentation
    Folders, Stock Books, and Folders.
